Faith Formation

The parish faith formation program seeks to aid parents in the most important work of forming their children to know, love, and serve God, within the greater context of a vibrant parish life, through communal celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, catechesis in faith formation classes, parish feasts, parties, and more!

Our catechist-led courses utilize curricula, methodologies, and resources faithful to the teachings of the Church and are designed to help your children encounter the light of Truth, in the person of Jesus Christ, as revealed by God in Sacred Scripture and long-standing Tradition.

All Parents, Godparents, Sponsors and Everyone Else

are welcome to join us for fellowship and community building at our weekly Donut & Coffee Hour. We also offer adult faith formation opportunities throughout the year. Let us know how we can best serve you or if you have any ideas to share!

Second grade will be offering the Sacramental Preparation curriculum by Ascension Press, "Renewed and Received," in addition to selections from the Baltimore Catechism and supplemental liturgical and catechetical activities.

With Renewed and Received, we channel children's innate curiosity and energy into a lifelong and lasting love for the Sacraments.

With studies that illustrate invisible spiritual realities in a powerful way, we work with children's imaginations to show them how real Faith is in their lives. Children stay moving throughout the class period and lesson plans feature activities for all learning styles.

The middle grades are learning primarily through Ignatius Press and Augustine Institute's Word of Life. Word of Life is a comprehensive, multifaceted curriculum that calls children, parents, teachers, and catechists to conversion and transformation in Christ.⁠

Word of Life gets to the heart of the Christian experience. It highlights four key themes, or “golden threads,” that run through the curriculum. The first thread, Salvation History, reveals God’s presence and plan throughout history and man’s place in that plan. The second thread is Christian Anthropology, which answers questions about the true identity of the human person. Third is Heroic Virtue and Character Formation, which encourages cooperation with God’s grace to live the virtues and moral teachings of the Church with conviction, as best attested in the lives of the saints. Lastly, the fourth golden thread is Learning Through Discipleship, a theme that emphasizes the witness of the saints and integrating the Catholic faith into daily life.



Our students who are in seventh grade enroll in our Confirmation program after prerequisite formation years, culminating in a year of intentional preparation through study and service. Catechists guide students through Ascension Press' Chosen.

Chosen explores salvation history, revelation, and the four last things. It teaches about the sacraments, the beatitudes, prayer, virtue, and Mary the Mother of God. It answers tough questions and challenges the reader to say ‘yes’ to Christ, and to build His Church.

Students discover that, after Confirmation, the journey continues, and that the real call to live out their faith is only just beginning -- as they seek to open themselves up to God's plan in their families and communities.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us that the Sacrament of Confirmation: “gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross” (CCC 1303). We recognize that the sharing of the Gospel is not something reserved for only those who receive Holy Orders. All of the confirmed faithful are called and empowered to this great task.
