2026-2027 Program Overview

Dear Holy Spirit Families,
Summer is winding down and the new school year is already upon us. But before the busy Fall rhythm settles back in and your schedules get too full, we invite you to consider the priority of Faith Formation in shaping your children to
become who they were made to be.
While it used to be true that faith could be easily and naturally picked up by one’s surroundings, we live in a time where forming children to
know and
love Jesus Christ requires acts of intentionality and consistency. After the example you set as parents, a child’s outside role models through classroom formation can play a significant role in solidifying one’s proud identity as a Catholic – and we are so glad to help support you in your goals for your children! It is no small feat to raise children in the faith these days.
Registration is open for formation for the upcoming year for pre-school through Confirmation. Our faith formation program aims to foster discipleship in our youth by providing encounters with Jesus Christ through the truth, beauty, and goodness of our Catholic faith.
We are honored to serve the families of the parish by offering instruction and also joyful witness to the faith through our wonderful catechists. We aim to draw your children to be inspired through prayer, hands-on catechesis, discussion, and liturgical celebration. Come, Holy Spirit!
For the 2026–2027 year, the framework of our program will remain consistent with previous years, with few adjustments:
- Families may attend either the 9:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. Mass. Those attending the 9:30 a.m. Mass can enjoy donuts before class, and parents are invited to connect with other parishioners during our coffee and donut hour.
- 2nd–4th graders will meet every Sunday morning (excluding holiday weekends) from 10:45 to 11:25 a.m.
- 5th–7th graders will meet every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Confirmation students also attend monthly on Sundays.
- The schedule for our Sacramental Preparation Programs will remain unchanged this year. Those who seek to receive the Sacraments should enroll the year prior to the start of their Sacramental year. At a minimum, for First Communion, children should be enrolled as 1st graders and for Confirmation, children should be enrolled as 6th graders.
- If your child (or you) have missed any Sacraments, we are glad to work with you where you are. Contact us for more information.
- New this year: for our 3-6 year olds, including our 1st graders, we are thrilled to offer the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a Montessori-based hands-on discovery centered on getting to know Jesus Christ through Sacred Scripture and the Liturgy. Sessions are weekly on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. These spots are limited!
Whatever stage your child, grandchild or loved one is in, we look forward to helping nurture the precious seed of faith within their hearts and minds. We entrust these works of formation to Divine Providence and pray that our efforts may continue to bear fruit for the glory of God as these young ones hear His call in their lives now and for years to come. As the Prophet Isaiah wrote, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine" (43:1).
